In seven days, in Sep 2009 we treated 550 patients. In 8 days in Feb. 2010 we treated 854. For these nomads, many of whom have never seen a doctor, this mission was a miracle.
Our goal is to improve health in the region through constant access to a nurse and medical missions of visiting doctors four times per year. |

Vitamins have become the most important medical treatment we can do in Niger. They have cured blindness, paralysis, saved lives. We distribute vitamins at the clinic and to all the schools we support. The children who attend school are in noticeably better health than those that do not. |

The region of rich pastureland for the animals is very poor in iron for the people. Many women die in childbirth due to a lack of iron. At left is the orphan left to be raised by her grandmother Nesboune. She has lost two daughters to this same problem. She is raising four orphaned grandchildren. Prenatal iron is now given to every pregnant woman.
